Ben Izzard

Ben Izzard is a Canberra-based freelance director of photography and cinematographer with numerous years experience in the industry. He specialises in documentary, corporate and commercial storytelling, and is available for hire.

He has worked on a vast range of high end productions with organisations including the NBA, ESPN, Kayo, Australian Government and others. Recent projects have included feature length documentaries on NBA Champion Jamal Murray, and the Luc Longley “Foundations” series available to watch on the NBA app. He has also worked on productions for major broadcasters including Channel 7 Spotlight, Sky News, SBS/NITV and ABC.

Ben’s work has seen him travel around Australia and film in every major city. He has also travelled internationally to cover stories in the USA, Japan and New Zealand, including the 2023 and 2024 NBA All Star Weekends in Indianapolis and Salt Lake City, as well as the 2023 FIBA World Cup in Okinawa. Ben owns and operates the latest Sony FX cinema camera systems and DJI drone systems.

He is a full member of the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS).
